Through his involvement with 2nd Call, Morrow Meadows’ Project Superintendent, John Harriel is making a difference in his community everyday. John, we are proud of all that you do, not just for Morrow Meadows’ clients, but for the people of Los Angeles.
“I want to send out a big thank you to all who helped with the Safe & Sober water giveaway on the corner of Manchester and Crenshaw, where at times, can be dangerous. Big thanks to Justin and the EWMC members that came out to pass out water, also to 2ndCall, Cease Fire, and the fraternity Omega Psi Phi. We gave out over four thousand bottles of cold water and there is no doubt that lives were saved. This is our tenth summer doing this, based on the numbers 85% of violent crimes happen when a person is under the influence . Sunday is the deadliest day of the week, so with that being said, during the summer Interventionist and organizations like 2ndCall and Cease fire are experts in reducing violence go into the war zones and pass out water. Thanks to all that came out and supported the great turnout. Looking forward to next week at Rosecrans and Central.”
