LOS ANGELES–Morrow-Meadows Corporation (Morrow-Meadows), headquartered in Los Angeles, has completed plans to acquire the electrical engineering team of R.E. Wall and Associates, Inc. (REW, Inc.). This move will significantly expand its own in-house Professional Engineering Department. As a result, Morrow-Meadows can now offer vertically integrated expert design, critical system vulnerability analysis and value engineering advice to its clients on demand. The move is designed to respond to the ever increasing level of sophisticated design input required on today’s complex design-build construction projects and to help make Morrow-Meadows more competitive in the fast paced construction environment.
R.E. Wall & Associates, Inc. was founded by Richard E. Wall and Russell Givens in 1972 and has served both private and public clients. New design projects will be undertaken by the team under the Morrow-Meadows corporate structure while the design team of REW, Inc., wind up and complete all their current contracted work in progress for their customers over the next 12-18 months.
The design team of REW, Inc. will join the Morrow-Meadows team at the corporate office located in the City of Industry starting this November and close their offices in Tustin, CA. Leading the new Morrow-Meadows Professional Engineering Department will be 43 year industry veteran and President of R.E. Wall, Russell Givens and 28 year industry veteran and R.E. Wall Vice President, Forrest D. Petersen, P.E. Both Givens and Petersen are recipients of world-class level design awards for lighting, power, energy management and technical design achievements. They have built a solid reputation as respected professionals who provide independent, professional design consultation services world-wide for all types of construction. Together they have designed literally hundreds of highly sophisticated, complex power generation-distribution systems and lighting systems for a wide variety of clients. They are recognized as industry experts in the design, construction, commissioning and evaluation of Data Centers and other critical electric load facilities such as hospitals, bio-tech research facilities, airports and high-rise residential and commercial structures.
“We have collaborated with Morrow-Meadows on hundreds of projects over our 43 year history, so this combining of our services under one roof is a natural extension of the great professional relationship that our two companies have enjoyed over the years,” says Givens. Forrest D. Petersen, P.E. who will be in direct charge of all in-house engineering says, “We have always been on the same team, and now, being part of the same company, we will have seamless communication with the installation professionals that will make smart design solutions faster and easier to implement.” Robert Meadows, President of Morrow-Meadows says, “Our two proud companies are family owned and were founded by our fathers on the timeless principals of integrity, professionalism and respect for our commitment to deliver cost effective, efficient and reliable electrical design and construction solutions to our customers.”
